Turning Inconvenience Into An Adventure

Our week takes an unexpected turn when our efforts to renew our visas fail. We must make a mad dash to civilization or risk being in the Philippines illegally. Oh the bureaucracy of a life at sea. Because no matter how far away we sail, or how remote the destination, bureaucracy is the one thing we cannot escape.

And, rather than take the easy route, we decided to turn the whole inconvenience into a challenge.

Our passports and paperwork arrived in time AND made it back to us before our bums could even recover. All in, we were only without them for about a week. 😲 Which was way faster than we expected. The government has approved we’re good to explore the country for the next 60 days. 🥳

🚵🏻 EBIKES

After our family e-bike adventure in Tuscany, we knew wanted bikes for the boat. Because while the tender is our car on the water, e-bikes are the best way to get around on land. The biggest hurdle was finding boat friendly bikes. Because most e-bikes are so heavy!  As in 40-75lbs.
